INDEPENDENT SYSTEM BUILT BEFORE MANIFOLD

From research to release.

I built a mostly automated workflow that carried research and ideation through music, video, editing, captions, and release packaging. I chose directions, revised lyrics, rejected weak takes, and approved what went public.

RELEASED OUTPUTS

Released work.

These are public releases made through iterations of the production system—not moodboards or substitute artwork.

RELEASE 002

Last Heat on the Street

Long-form audiovisual composition with a captioned release package.

RELEASE 003

Passing Over You

Iterated overlays, horizontal and vertical compositions, and preserved versions.

RELEASE 004

Keep The Gap Open

Music, visual direction, composition, captions, variants, and release assets.

RELEASE DOSSIER / QUORUM GLOW

Quorum Glow

How Quorum Glow moved from an idea to a release.

The final video is the visible result. The work was the system underneath it: direction, music, frames, segment prompts, overlays, captions, masters, metadata, and preserved revisions.

THE PRODUCTION WORKFLOW

What moved between each stage.

Every stage consumed an inspectable input, performed a narrow job, and emitted an artifact the next stage could use or a human could reject.

Stage Input Operation Output
01 / RESEARCH trend sources + project context ResearchAgent.discover() clusters signals and continuing-world constraints ranked research brief
02 / DIVERGENCE brief + creative profiles generation and critique run in separate model lanes; matrices push structural difference candidate batch + critique
03 / HUMAN VETO candidate batch star, reject, revise, or archive; rejected directions become suppression signals approved direction
04 / DESIGN approved direction resolve BPM, key, lyrics, start frame, shot beats, continuity, caption and overlay plans tool-specific specifications
05 / SYNTHESIS music + visual specifications generate takes, frames and clips; preserve source assets instead of flattening early audio, stills, clips, overlay code
06 / COMPOSITION selected assets stitch and crossfade takes, synchronize picture and sound, composite overlays with FFmpeg versioned master
07 / CAPTIONS master audio + lyrics Demucs isolates vocals; WhisperX aligns words; renderer produces transparent RGBA frames ProRes 4444 caption layer
08 / RELEASE master + captions + metadata render long, short and 9:16 packages; stop for explicit approval before upload published release + analytics

WORKING ARTIFACTS

A workflow I could inspect and revise.

These specimens expose the implementation boundary: research, direction, handoff, alignment, rendering, and revision.

SPECIMEN A REPRESENTATIVE SHAPE

Research packet

A compact input contract kept discovery separate from ideation.

SPECIMEN B IMPLEMENTED MECHANIC

Diversity matrix

Candidates changed along named axes instead of paraphrasing one idea.

SPECIMEN C REPRESENTATIVE SHAPE

Visual synthesis handoff

Long concepts became bounded segments with explicit continuity.

START FRAME
subject / lens / lighting / composition

SEGMENT 03 00:12—00:18
motion: one controlled transformation
continuity: same subject, palette, lens
handoff: previous end frame → next start
SPECIMEN D IMPLEMENTED MECHANIC

Caption compositor

The renderer pipes NumPy RGBA frames directly to FFmpeg—no intermediate PNGs—then emits a transparent ProRes 4444 movie.

Demucs vocals→ WhisperX words→ lyric correction→ RGBA frames→ ProRes overlay
  • 95% phrase-width safety margin prevents accidental wrapping
  • idle frames reuse one cached transparent frame
  • stroke, fill, shadow, glass and easing render independently

Surgical rewrites

A weak layer could be replaced without rerunning the whole release.

AUTHORSHIP BOUNDARY

What I automated, and where I made the decisions.

SYSTEM

Research, propose, translate, assemble.

  • Survey signals and draft research packets
  • Generate structurally different directions
  • Translate decisions into model-specific handoffs
  • Compose, align, caption, resize, and package
HUMAN

Reject, redirect, choose, release.

  • Veto convergent or weak concepts
  • Approve the direction worth producing
  • Request a rewrite at one production layer
  • Authorize the final public release
